Tulip garden closed for public, 4.25 lakh tourists visited garden

The iconic Tulip Garden in Srinagar, has closed its gates to the public
The decision follows the end of the Tulip Bloom season, a spectacle that draws visitors from far and wide. Recommended by the Tulip Committee and officially sanctioned by the Director Floriculture Kashmir, the closure aims to allow the garden to recover after hosting over 4.25 lakh tourists this year alone.

Since its opening in 2007, the Tulip Garden has emerged as a must-visit spot, spanning 30 hectares and showcasing a vibrant array of tulips and other flora against the backdrop of the Zabarwan hills. While the closure may disappoint those who had planned visits, it is essential for the garden’s preservation.
The administration stresses the importance of respecting the closure to prevent any damage to the garden during this period. Despite the temporary closure, the Tulip Garden remains a significant contributor to Srinagar’s tourism sector, with hopes for its continued success while ensuring its long-term conservation.
