DDC Srinagar declares UT Level Sqay Championship open; releases Calendar of activities 2022-23

The District Development Commissioner (DDC) Srinagar, Mohammad Aijaz Asad Monday inaugurated UT level Sqay Martial Art competitions for Boys & Girls during an impressive function organized by District Youth Services & Sports Office at Youth Hostel, here.

The DDC while declaring UT level Inter district championship open, stressed upon the stakeholders to provide every possible help for the deserving and desirous youth of the UT for showcasing their talent in different fields especially sports.
Congratulating the organizers for such initiatives, Asad hoped that the department would carry forward the legacy of channelizing the sports talent of youth across J&K.
The DDC also released the Activity Calendar of DYSSO Srinagar for the year 2022-23.
Joint Director Youth Services and Sports Kashmir, Bashir Ahmad presented a detailed report about the activities of the department during his welcome address. He stated that District Srinagar figured among the best 7 districts in terms of sports during the previous academic session at National Level.
The school girls selected from various districts of the UT are participating in the Mega Championship which is being organized under the supervision of Principal Secretary to Government Youth Services and Sports department Alok Kumar and Director of the department Gazanfar Ali.
Er. Aijaz Ahmad DDC Member Srinagar, DYSSO Srinagar Balbir Singh and many other senior officers and officials of the department were also present on this occasion.
The guests also interacted with the participating players/teams that are representing different districts in the UT level tournament.
