10 players of J&K shortlisted for upcoming Auction

Ten players of Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory were among the 590 members list announced by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) for the upcoming Indian Premier League (IPL) Auction which is scheduled to be held on February 12 and 13.

It was the first time when around 10 players from Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) were shortlisted for the cash rich premier league.
The players who were shortlisted for auction including Mujtaba Yousuf, placed at serial 161, followed by Rasikh Salam (242), Parvez Rasool (354), Qamran Iqbal (367), Fazil Rashid (391), Henan Malik (436), Abid Mushtaq (445), Nasir Lone (446), Auqib Nabi (492) and Vivrant Sharma at serial number 545 among 590 members’ list.
Among these players only Parvez Rasool has the base price of Rs 50 lakh while all others will enter the upcoming auction with base price of Rs 20 lakh.
It is pertinent to mention here that around 1214 players had registered for the auction, wherein only 590 players were shortlisted by the BCCI wherein nearly 370 Indian players and 220 overseas cricketers will be up for grabs
