Tanmay Gupta, the NEET-2021 topper from J&K, was awarded Rs 21 lakh at a felicitation function at Gurugram.
Gupta created history by becoming the first candidate from Jammu and Kashmir to secure All India Rank One (AIR 1) among more than 16 lakh students who appeared in NEET-2021.
Gupta along with his family was invited from Jammu by Aakash Institute to attend the mega award ceremony in which students from across the country who were among the top 100 rank holders in the NEET 2021 examination were awarded a cheque of Rs 1 lakh to Rs 5 lakh.
Gupta along with two other AIR 1 holders were awarded Rs 21 lakh each by the Chairman of Aakash Educational Services Limited J C Choudhary.
