A centrally sponsored scheme aimed to provide continuous electricity supply in rural areas.

The Deputy Commissioner (DC) Baramulla, Bhupinder Kumar chaired a meeting of concerned officers to review the pace and position of power development projects being executed under centrally sponsored scheme Deen Dayal Upadhyaya Gram Jyoti Yojana (DDUGJY).
The meeting specifically took review of 6.33 MVA 33/11 KV receiving station which is being constructed at Hachaypora at an estimated cost of Rs 2.42 crores under the said scheme.
DDUGJY is a centrally sponsored scheme aimed to provide continuous electricity supply in rural areas.
On the occasion, a comprehensive discussion on various aspects was held wherein the DC directed the concerned agencies to abide by the timeline of the said project fixed as September 2021.
He also emphasized to work in coordination and cohesion so that all the undertaken works are completed well within the stipulated timeframe. The DC also directed to mobilize all the available resources and follow COVID-19 SOPs at the working sites in letter and spirit. DC Baramulla Mohammad Ahsan Mir, Joint Director Planning among other concerned Officers attended the meeting.
