DPS Budgam students bring laurels in Football, Taekwondo

Six students from DPS Budgam have been selected for the Inter-district Football Tournament to be organised by the Youth Service and Sports, J&K at Jammu, while another student from the school won the Gold medal in the District Taekwondo Championship organised by the J&K Taekwondo Association and the J&K State Sports Council at Gindun Stadium earlier this week.

A press statement from the school congratulated the students and said that these students had made the school proud.

It said that the students in age categories of under-17 and under-19 participated at the Inter-school and Inter-zonal level competitions and Khan Abrar, Mohsin Ali, Peerzada Mohd Salim, Annas Ahmad, Muheeb Kalwal and Ahmad Ali Rizvi, who have been selected from the pool of competitors, will be representing DPS Budgam in the forthcoming event.

The statement further said that Hamna Zahoor, a student of Class 9th in the school, won the Gold medal in the District Taekwondo Championship in which more than 200 students from the different districts of the valley had participated. Hamna will soon be participating in the State-level competition.

The statement wished the students luck and hoped that the students of the school would keep working hard and bringing laurels to the school.
