Meet Sadia Tariq: The Taekwondo sensation from Kashmir

For the last few years, she has been practicing daily on a small patch of ground at sports stadium Rajbagh Srinagar. Her coach Aijaz Rasool, has been shaping her skills to compete at national and international level.
Sadia tariq is presently studying in class 7th in presentation convent Hr. Sec school Rajbagh Srinagar.
Initially She started playing this game in school latter she used to practice with her coach Aijaz Rasool Mir and then went to Indoor Stadium for practice.
Initially she played at district level then state level and now making at national level further aiming to reach at international level.
She went to Manipur and Chennai to play Nationals this year. She also went to Pune, Delhi and many other places to play nationals. She was the only girl from kashmir who was selected for School National Games (SGFI).
Now presently she is working hard for international championships that are going to take place in near future.
Her coach Aijaz Rasool said “Her aggression and fearlessness keeps her achieving the milestones, the word ‘loss’ doesn’t exist in her dictionary.”
Sadia had a great passion for sports right from the beginning, At six years of age,Sadia started visiting academy with a goal to make it at Higher levels.
With a short span of time proved that she has a potential to make her dreams true and prove her skills by achieving a bundle of awards in a short duration of time. She earned herself a place in a national championship, held in New Delhi.
Subsequently, the little champ bagged Bronze in J&K Taekwondo championship 2015
Bronze in 3rd Open India Taekwondo championship New Delhi.
She has won many medals in Taekwondo sports so far and aiming to make it in Asia games this time to make her state, country and parents proud as her confidence is brimming with each passing day.
I will try to provide her all facilities as a father and have a firm belief that the day is not far when she will makes us pride at both national and international levels Lone added.
Sadia Tariq also said that neither I want to become a doctor nor I want to become a Politician, I just want to shine in sports which teaches us sportsmanship and skills to accept odds of life with smiling face and habit of never giving up.
