7 students from J&K UT take part in NLEPC INSPIRE–MANAK

The seven students from Jammu and Kashmir Union Terrority have been selected to take part in the National Level Exhibition and Project Competition (NLEPC) INSPIRE–MANAK 2022-2023. These students will showcase their innovative projects at the 11th National Level Exhibition and Project Competition.
This prestigious competition took place at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on September 17.
Dr. Sajad Ahmad Mir, the Nodal Officer for INSPIRE MANAK in Kashmir, informed Rising Kashmir that these seven students have qualified for the national competition.

“Five of the students hail from the Kashmir Valley, while two are from the Jammu division. The national competition was held at Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, on September 17 and 18,” Mir stated.
He added that students from across India will be participating in this prestigious competition. These seven students from Jammu & Kashmir will also display their innovative projects at the 11th National Level Exhibition and Project Competition.

” The innovation in Science Pursuit for Inspired Research’ (INSPIRE) scheme is a key initiative of the Department of Science & Technology (DST), Government of India. The INSPIRE–MANAK (Million Minds Augmenting National Aspirations and Knowledge) program, implemented by DST in collaboration with the National Innovation Foundation – India (NIF), aims to inspire students aged 10 to 15 years who are enrolled in classes 6th to 10th, ” Sajad said.

He further said that the scheme’s goal is to generate one million original ideas or innovations that are grounded in scientific principles and societal applications, thereby promoting a culture of creativity and innovative thinking amongst school children.
