Construction of 38 Health & Wellness Centres have been taken in hand at a cost of Rs.2 crore by various executing agencies in the district. Of which, 15 Centres have been completed, while 20 centres are at the different stages of completion.
The DDC reviewed the status of the Health & Wellness Centres and asked Executive Engineer of J&K Housing Board to speed up the construction work so that the buildings can be handed over to Health Department at an earliest.
Reviewing the progress under Prime Minister’s Awas Yojna (PMAY), Urban, the meeting was informed that 2468 cases have been approved under Housing for all Programmes in Kupwara, Handwara and Langate towns during current financial year. Out of which work is in progress on 789 houses and Rs.3 crore have been disbursed among the beneficiaries.
