2nd phase of 5-day ‘Gaon Gaon Ayushman’ campaign underway in J&K

The unique initiative of State Health Agency, ‘Gaon Gaon Ayushman’ aimed to provide Ayushman Bharat cards to population of Jammu and Kashmir, is witnessing enthusiastic participation with second phase of the campaign being conducted in one block of each district of the Union Territory from 15th to 19th July.

The campaign is underway in Bhalessa (Doda), Arnia (Jammu), Baggan (Kathua), Drabshalla (Kishtwar), Buffliaz (Poonch), Darhal (Rajouri), Batote (Ramban), Bhomag (Reasi), Bari Brahmana (Samba) and Chanunta (Udhampur) blocks of Jammu division and Bijbehara (Anantnag), Arin (Bandipora), Boniyar (Baramulla), B.K Pora (Budgam), Lar (Ganderbal), D.H Pora (Kulgam), Handwara (Kupwara), Achagooza (Pulwama), Hermain (Shopian) and Khonmoh (Srinagar) blocks of Kashmir division.

To ensure all eligible beneficiaries are registered under Ayushman Bharat PMJAY-SEHAT scheme, camps are being organized for on spot registration of beneficiaries by CSC where VLE’s are also being stationed for ensuring 100% registration. Besides, awareness activities are being conducted at grass root level by PRIs involving VLE’s with door to door campaign by ASHA’s.

The drive is being conducted in coordination with PRI representatives of respective areas which is also focusing on taking account of the total number of families or members missing from SECC database.

This initiative is being run under the overall guidance of Additional Chief Secretary, Atal Dulloo, who is closely monitoring the implementation of AB PM-JAY and AB PM-JAY SEHAT scheme.

CEO State Health Agency, Dr. Sagar Doifode, expressed satisfaction over the way the initiative has picked up in the Union Territory. He urged upon the CMOs to ensure that all the eligible beneficiaries get registered during the stipulated time. He also requested all the people in general and unregistered beneficiaries in particular to get registered through these camps or at any Common Service Centre.
