In order to provide sustainable livelihood to youth by providing employment opportunities, Joint Director Planning M. Yousuf Rather in presence of Assistant Director, District Employment and Counseling Centre Baramulla, Sachin Bali today handed over 22 commercial vehicles among unemployed youth beneficiaries under MUMKIN Scheme at Baramulla.
During the function organized by DE&CC Baramulla, Joint Director Planning and Assistant Director Employment handed over keys to Drivers/ beneficiaries who had applied as Unemployed Youth in the Employment office Baramulla.
Pertinently, under the ‘Mumkin’ scheme, commercial vehicles are being provided to the youth with reasonable subsidies both from the manufacturer and the government, enabling them to earn a decent livelihood.
After distribution of vehicles, Joint Director Planning said that the Mumkin Scheme aims to move towards the creation of a better socio-economic ecosystem, self-employment opportunities and elimination of poverty among the youth.
He urged the beneficiaries to work with full dedication and enthusiasm which shall eventually go a long way in socio-economic upliftment of beneficiaries under MUMKIN Scheme.
Assistant Director DE&CC Baramulla informed that the department receives applications persistently under MUMKIN Scheme out of which 22 have been approved by the committee so far.
Moreover, he urged the unemployed youth of Baramulla district to coordinate with the Employment Department in order to avail the benefits under various Employment generation schemes meant for the socio-economic development of youth.
