118 Bn CRPF organizes free medical camp in Ganderbal

In a significant outreach initiative, the 118 Battalion of the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) organized a free medical camp on Thursday at Zirpora Kulan Gund in the Ganderbal district. The camp, held under the CRPF’s Civic Action Programme, aimed to provide essential healthcare services to the local population.
The event was inaugurated by the Second-in-Command (2IC) Deepak Kumar, with Bharath, Officer Commanding (OC) of Alpha Company Gagangeer, and other senior officers, including Lokesh Mehta and Harpal, in attendance.

The medical camp saw a large turnout from nearby villages, with hundreds of people receiving medical attention. Civil and CRPF doctors examined the patients, offering consultations and counseling on maintaining overall health. Free medicines were distributed to those in need, providing relief to many who lack access to essential healthcare services.

The local community showed great enthusiasm for the initiative, expressing their gratitude to the CRPF for their ongoing efforts to foster a positive and supportive environment in the region. Officials from 118 Bn CRPF stated that they remain committed to continuing such outreach programs in the future, further strengthening their relationship with the people and addressing the healthcare needs of the underserved.
